ARTFUL PARENTING/ OUTDOOR CLASS

I define an artful activity as any that's full of art, beauty, and creativity. As parents, there are innumerable ways we can make our family life more artful. While painting,drawing and other traditional art-making methods are obvious choices, many other activities can also be considered artful: * Trying out new science experiments. Creative thinking is encouraged by the act of experimenting * Taking a Nature Walk. There is incredible beauty in the natural world: try observing the veins in leaves and the patterns on tree bark. * Baking. Creating food from scratch is nourishing to the hands, heart and stomach. * Planning a teddy bear tea party. Pretend play encourages imagination. SUMMER CAMP JUNE 2015

Wow, Summer is here!!! And what better ways to keep children occupied and learning than to send them to Art Camp Here children made a replica of 'VAN GOGH' Flowers with mixed media. They used tissue paper, scrapbook paper, wood chips buttons, fabrics, all to make a cohesive work of art that they can proudly display at home! For the "Mixed Media Horse" I created a template, which they drew, then glued to substrate. (This was an exercise in how to glue paper to canvas without bubbles) They used colors of their choice. Each had a clay piece sculpted from sculpey made from scratch!!! I think their work is beautiful.
